The time to see how they'll handle Shiryu's greatest sacrifice is draweing near!

Knights of the Zodiac" Edit List

Episode 027

American Title: "Medusa's Shield"
Japanese Title: "Seiya Turns to Stone! Medusa Shield" [Seiya ga Ishi ni! Medusa no Tate]

I'm always amused when Japanese titles provide spoilers for the episode right in the beginning.

Edit:
- Recap changed. What a shock, I know.
- "Coziest dungeon in Sanctuary" I think you all know what that means by now.

Addition:
- "Dream on, psycho!" Most of the time Seiya even refers to her as "Shaina-san", so that just seemed a bit OOC on his part. Psychotic behavior or not on Shaina's half. :p
- Originally Seiya was the one who stated Spartan had made the plane crash, not Shiryuu.
- "Kinda cute too." Shina's pretty boy-crazy, it seems. First Perseus, now Shiryu.

Edit:
- Blue blood.
- Cut out the part where Shaina strangles him in the flashback.

Side Note:
- Uh, how can it be counted as a win for Seiya if the only thing stopping him from keeping his ass kicked is Marin's sudden intervention?

Addition:
- Marin as Seika wasn't mentioned until later this episode.
- "Mr. Pretty in Pink" (Aww, no "cute-looking little boy", Dic? :p )

Edit:
- Short cut of the extended shot of Shaina kicking.
- Cut out a few of Shaina's spins when she throws Seiya.

Addition:
- The talking between the opponents as you saw their backs was added. Originally it was just silence.
- Added trash talking between Shun and Algol. Shun didn't say anything besides "Nebula Chain!" until he noted Algol's Cosmo.
- Added those weird flashes in between some of the hits Shiryu recieves. However, some of them did have flashes there.
- Added a lot of Shiryu's thoughts. He didn't think anything about Roshi in the original.

Edit:
- Cut Spartan smacking Shiryuu into a wall.

Addition:
- "This move isn't a punch!" Um, then what is it, Seiya?
- New move? It's the same move he's always had!

Edit:
- Originally, Shaina said that than Seiya and could block his punches, thus the slow-mo flashback.

Error:
- The move Seiya did afterwards is not a Ryuuseiken ("Pegasus Meteor Punch"), it's a Suiseiken. That's his new move.

Edit:
- Originally Seiya mentioned that he had avoided her vital areas.
Side Note:
- When Marin's face flashes across the screen, that's when her being Seiya's sister was originally brought up. (Actually it was a few lines earlier, but hey...)

Edit:
- Shaina asked who told Seiya Marin was his sister originally.
- Cut Shaina being smashed into the wall.
- Shaina didn't originally defend the Pope when Seiya mentioned him. Didn't say much of anything, actually.

Addition:
- "Nothing can stop the Nebula Chain!"
- Being turned into stone doesn't wear off in the original. Obviously.
- In the clip of the Steel Saints, there was no yelling originally. Please note I only noticed this because the screams in the dub really got on my nerves.
- Mention of contacting the training centers. A better idea would probably be contacting the toy manufacturers...

Edit:
- Originally it wasn't the captain of the plane that contacted them, but someone telling them they had lost contact with the plane somewhere in the Mediterranean Sea.

Addition:
- Shiryuu didn't give many warnings about the shield in the original, so it's not like Seiya had anything to disregard like a moron.

Edit:
- The description of Medusa was slightly different in the original. No biggie, though.

Side Note:
- Fourteen year olds are allowed to drive in Japan? :p

Edit:
- Shiryuu originally explained how he avoided being turned into stone. In the dub they have a nice chat about Roshi. Yeah, that makes sense.

Side Note:
- What the hell are those noises coming from Shiryu's mouth? And how do I make him stop?!

Addition:
- The unrelenting, horrible rock puns. I mean, they're not even clever.

Edit:
- The dub sort of glossed over the fact that Shiryuu was in big trouble because he was trying to avoid looking at the shield and couldn't get a good hit in on Algol.

Side Note:
- Wonder what they'll do about about next week...
