Hyper Luigi's dream come true. What better way to launch a new Cartoon Network block than with the revival of a modern classic? This is the official talkback thread for the upcoming series "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" making its Miguzi premiere Monday April 19th. "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will air Monday through Friday at 6:00 PM (Eastern/Pacific). Grab some pizza and comment on this upcoming series!

We knew this series would be debuting in the Spring, but no one seemed to know where it would go. Because Cartoon Network has the first 40 episodes we assumed it would probably get some sort of weekday run. However, no one thought the show would be used to help launch a brand new block. Can the popular Saturday morning series stand the test of a weekday run? Tune in to find out. April 19th, Weekdays, Only Miguzi.

Spoilers: Because none of the episodes have aired on Miguzi yet, if you must comment on episodes you will need to use spoiler tags due to the number of people who have not seen the series. Thank you.

I saw, like, the last episode on the Test Run. I'll probably watch it.

But... ya know, it's not in continuity with PR like the Next Mutation was. That's automatically a strike against it.

What's the point of these topics? I mean, we should just have a Miguzi/New Toonami Schedule discussion instead of multiple series talkbacks for premieres that haven't even aired yet.

I thought it was airing at 6pm. Did it and TT switch or is TT not on Miguzi now?

I'm so excited! TMNT on CN at last. I've still got a while to wait but by golly it's worth the wait. I still call talkbacks...

Can I get a cowabunga turtle fans?

We have an entire board here, I figure why cram everything into one thread? The Gundam SEED thread has already generated 38 responses in just 2 days.

While the series have not aired yet on Miguzi or Toonami, there are people around here that know a lot more about these series than other folks. Some may have questions, others may have information to give. We already have threads dedicated to discussion of shows that aren't even licensed, a thread about a show that will be airing soon is even more on topic.

Oops, you are correct, it is 6 PM, I'll go fix the first post after I post this. As for Talkbacks, I can't keep another TMNT fan from beating you to it, thus you just have to be the first person after midnight Atlanta time. However, I personnally will not post any TMNT talkbacks until after sunrise.

You've got it.

I wish they'd air it instead of TT before AS. They are really gonna over play TT if they air it twice a day.

I can't see the Teen Titans double run lasting long especially since Samurai Jack will only have one slot during the week and Justice League will have zero. Teen Titans is probably mainly there just to help launch the revamped schedule.

When will Jack air? As a movie on Toonami or elsewhere?

"Samurai Jack" will keep its current timeslot of 10:30 Sunday Nights.

Okay... once a week and at 10:30. Now that seems UBER odd.

Considering that Samurai Jack's finalé's gonna be airing soon, it's not like CN's got it's full support behind it much longer.

CN could hold onto the final episodes for awhile, they've done that with other series in the past.

I pretty sure that TMNT already aired on Cartoon Network for a week once already.

Can I get a cowabunga turtle fans?

Mike: COWA-
Ralph: No cowabunga Mikey.

Bad Ralph! :p You gotta love how they reference the old show even they don't have to, since one of the TMNT creators is behind this show, making sure its based on the comic, even as a different take.

BTW, I forgot how many episodes where in each season  So how far does the Miguzi run go anyway?

(COMPLETELY OFFTOPIC, but there's eventually going to be a Miguzi board, right? Boy, are things going to get slow after each Sat comes and goes)

shoujoaifan: COWA-
Ralph: No cowa-ERHMM!
shoujoaifan+Mike(with ducktape): COWABUNGAAAAAAHHH!!!
Ralph: GET BACK HERE!

Define "soon".

Realistic Soon = 2004

Theory Soon = Well, Toonami airing The Legend Begins seems kinda odd... maybe it's to hype The Legend Ends...

Or maybe they just need time to fill and are doing so with old movies and such that get fairly good ratings when aired.

If they'd replace TS with JCA,Miguzi would be alot more likable on my part.Looking foward to TMNT because it's good and CL for not knowing what the heck it is.

But Samurai Jack just seems like an odd choice. Justice League: Secret Origins would kinda make more sense, if Starcrossed is indeed airing the week before ("See how the Justice League was formed!").

It's not the happy comedy show the original series was. This one is darker and more closely related to the original comics. Not to say there's no comedy, but it's intersparsed between the action and drama.

One thing I don't like is how the music sometimes becomes obstusive, thanks to 4Kids.

Nah the music usually doesn't distract the viewer like most of their animes and furthermore the music in TMNT ROCKS! Only the theme is weak sause.

It has less comedy and no fourth wall breaking but honeslty it's probably funnier than the original. The show has great writers! It's still an action comedy but unlike the old TMNT it has some drama thrown in as well. (like season 1 and the last seasons of the original series only much more so).
