Well I have a couple of years of school left, but after I graduate I want to go into the service. So that made me wonder, do you guys have a spacific branch that's your favorite? I think that my favorite is the Air Force but anyways.

I like the coast guard, they're a very necessary but underappreciated branch of the service.

I am biased as my job, consultation on security upgrades on USAF installations, puts me in direct contact with Air Force folks. But I have met some really interesting and intelligent people in that particular branch so I'm gonna have to go with the flyboys.

Navy would be a close second choice though.

AWSOME! I know people from all the branches, but being raised as an Air Force brat, it made an impact. I want to become a lawyer in the USAF.

I love all 5 equally -- U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marines, U.S. Coast Guard, and the 50 States' National Guard -- because all 5 work together to defend and protect the U.S., her allies, and freedom around the world. (I know, I know, it sounds like a commercial, but as they say here in Texas, "It ain't bragging if it's true.")

:)

Not just the American military, but I also have the highest respect for the military of any freedom-loving democratic country. Their guys usually work with our guys to maintain peace and freedom for both countries at the same time (like NATO, for example).

Definitely S.H.I.E.L.D. You can't beat that kickass flying headquarters.

GI Joe, America's Highly Trained Special Missions Force.

The Naval Reserve, America's seventeenth line of defense, between the Mississippi National Guard, and the League of Women Voters. :D In all seriousness, I always thought the Navy was pretty cool.

Air Force. We might run into each other. :D

How's Joe, BTW?

Honestly, I like all branches of the military, but the Air Force and Army are the ones I like the most.

I will say this about the Air Force.

Go to college, and go in as an officer. Trust me on this one. I know a lot of guys who, if they had to do it all over again, would go that route.

ooohhh... I love 'em all!!

The Air Force supposedly has the easiest boot camp/training, so if that matters to you, there ya go.

I love jets, there's something very sexy about them... but the Marines and the Navy have some awesome air power, too.

Then again, soldiers & special forces are good, too ::thoughts wander off::

Whatever you decide, Jenn and Lucky Bob, all the best to you, and thanks for chosing to serve the USA. ::salutes::

yes, gwen is an uber patriot, deal with it.

Heh, actually, a little clarification here.

My dad works as a contractor chaplain for the Air Force. I worked as a snack bar chef for them for half a year. Otherwise, I'm not specifically in the military. (Physical conditions make it unlikely.)

But thanks for the sentiment!

The U.S. Marine Corps.

I can't imagine wanting to be anything other than a Marine.

Are you saying that I should go to college and then go into the Air Force? But an Army recruter told me that I have the perfect qualifications to go to West Point. But I asked my dad and he said if I have the qualifacations to West Point that I can go to Colorado Springs (the USAFA)

I say the U.S. Air Force. I always thought it would be cool to fly in those jets. Plus, I love the technology.

That's awsome, USAF is I think, an important branch, but all the branches are important. I mean Air Force is my favorite cause my dad but I know people from all the branches. So I have respect for all of them

USAF. Dad enlisted, mom was an AF cadet, I'll probably enlist after this year if the job market doesn't improve.

Do you have a choice of what you want to do in the military?
