Friends, I hope you won't mind me telling ya that everyone's favorite rich boy will be taking over Boomerang's Friday schedules next month in February. That's right, prepare to see a full day of Richie Rich every Friday next month. This series from Hanna-Barbera premiered in the Fall of 1980 on ABC (it premiered about 9 or 10 months after I was born). It was later re-runned on CBS in 1986 and then in syndication on The Fantastic World of Hanna Barberra back in 1989, I believe. Here's something I should tell ya about this show, whether any of you 80's toon fans know it or not. Nancy Cartwright (Bart Simpson) actually did the voice of Richie's best friend, Gloria. Here's something I should tell ya. Of course, I hope you guys don't mind. Have any of you ever written to your favorite character at Cartoon Network by regular mail since this channel first came along? I actually wrote to Richie one time asking him why his dog Dollar always imagines things and then does them and they always turn out to be a failure. I got a response from the rich boy himself and he told me that sometimes Dollar wishes he was human, but still I think he likes being a silly ol' dog. Well, I hope to whomever has Boomerang, to watch Richie Rich every Friday in February.

Thanks for the info... though I didn't think there were enough Richie Rich episodes to merit a whole month of them every Friday (then again, February *is* a short month :-) ).

I watched "Richie" as a kid (when it was originally on Saturday mornings); in retrospect, I guess it was an OK show; maybe they'll rerun it on "Boomerang on Cartoon Network" if/when they get up to 1980--which is the only way I'll set it, since we don't get Boomerang....
