Warner Bros. Animation has made many shows for general CN. Duck Dodgers, Teen Titans, Justice League, etc. I was wondering how long would it be before WBA creates a series for AS? Maybe there already developing a series, but nobody knows it yet?

Can they create a serious non-superhero show? That's what I'd like to see since they haven't done it to my knowledge.

id rather have CN Studios do something other than Warner Bros. if they have a hold on AS then it may further their control over CN.

Calamity Jane was made in Europe, not WBA.

I guess WB wants CN to become KidsWB 2?

Well, People have been mentioning a Sandman series being wanted. Some mentioned HBO, but i would say AS would be a perfect place for it, and maybe they could get Spawn on AS too!

Why not make a dirtier version of Freakazoid? The original series ended up appealing more to adults than to kids, so why not bring back the series and use occasional dirty words, sexual references, and and the like so that they can claim that it's an "adult" series.

And as long as I'm dreaming, I also want a pony.

No, that ruins shows. See the new Ren & Stimpy for proof.

Sandman is cool but I'm not sure if it would get the rating, and it would be a pretty gutsy show to make. Lets just pray to God no one over at WB or AS has been proposing a Lobo Show.

I can see the argument against updating an existing WB franchise for AS, if it were to ever be batted around some TV exec boardroom. But the first show I thought about when reading this thread was Freakazoid.

New Freakazoids on Adult Swim would be awesome, but I would hope it wouldn't be dirtier. Being not for kids doesn't necessarily make something adult. The show was already stuffed full of things that kids would never get, they could easily expand on that aspect and make the show more targeted towards adults without making it dirtier.

Besides, hearing silly terms like "poo gas" and "crud vapors" is funnier than some random curse word we hear all the time already.

I remember, back in the day... well, not really back in the day per se... when Adam Sandler released his hit song, "Piece of Sh*t Car." The radio version had all the swears beeped with funny car horns, and my friends and I all rushed out to find copies of the CD and tape (because people still used tapes). We were so disappointed when we found that instead of beeps, the swears were there. It detracted from the humor of the song immensely.

Freakazoid was awesome because of how it dealt with trying to braoden its audience, a la Rocky & Bullwinkle, to both kids and adults. If you change that, some of the mystique surrounding the show will disappear.

Naughty things are funnier when they are suggestive and kinda cute. That's what made the original Ren and Stimpy so great. But now its awful stuff...

Freakazoid is best just the way it is. Curse words have little to no shock value now but "crud vapors" is always good for a laugh. They'd probably have to make it less episodic unless they made it a 15 min show like the WS stuff and Harvey Birdman.

BTW... I still want a new Sam & Max series for AS. That would be quite a treat.

Freakazoid! would be perfect for Adult Swim. Even though I agree that "strong sexual references" would most likely destroy the show, I strongly feel that allowing the characters (ecspecially Freakazoid) to words like "dammit" and "ass" would add more to the hilarity (it worked for Space Ghost C2C). :D i.e., "Dammit, Cosgrove, I told you to leave that poo-gas alone!"

While we're at it, I'd like to see Invasion America resurrected... ;)

I completely agree with you. I'd choose this over The Sandman any day.

I also loved Invasion America, but I don't think that has a snowball's chance in hell of being resurrected.

And if it DOES happen, let's hope they realized their horrible, horrible mistake and send it to Spike TV.

(Yeah, yeah, I know, SpikeTV is Viacom, Lobo is a DC/WB property, yadda, yadda...just shut up and let me be evil. :p )
