You know when someone makes a useless thread which is void of almost any real intelligence or discussion...
Anyway I was wondering what Adult Swim toons do you think could be adapted into a live action film, you know reasonably. Also yoh
Comedy
Futurama-it could work if given the right budget and good director. It could probably make a nice franchise.
Sea Lab 2021-it could work, they would have to tone down the humor just a little. But it could work in the same way Airplane did, off the wall humor but maybe making a little more sense
Action
Inuyasha- it could work... probably couldn't... but it could. It could be done in an epic multi film Lord of the Rings like style, that would fit the show's spirit pretty well
Blue Gender-could easily be done, it might not be the best anime but I could see it becoming one hell of a film franchise
Cowboy Bebop-if done right this would just be flippin amazing
Your thoughts?

Me = :confused:
Are you talking about AS making a movie of cards? Or is it a movie with episodes from each show?
I just hope you're not talking about pulling a Fox Box and doing something like that promotional DVD movie they handed out.

Lupin the 3rd is already being made, and has great potential, and a Trigun live action film would kick so much ass.

There already is a live-action "Inuyasha" (http://web.utk.edu/%7Ebborchar/play.html), and I think that's enough. It's not like we want the show to get popular enough that an orchestra will create symphonic versions of the show's openings and endings...oh, wait, too late (http://animenation.com/avca-14753.html).
Seriously, even in a "Lord of a Rings" style trilogy, I don't think "Inuyasha" can't be condensed into something that small. You'd have to rewrite the basic structure of the story entirely. No more Shikon Jewel shard hunting. No more monster-of-the-week. No more Koga...
...wait a minute. :anime:

No, what I'm saying is that there should be a DVD release of Adult Swim cards before Turner Broadcasting sells the movie rights for a live-action CARDS movie.
Jeff Goldblum should play Card #8 in the movie.

Forget the cards, go with the original bumpers- the senior citizens in the pool! My trailer for Adult Swim: The Movie:
Voiceover Narrator: "He was the finest lifeguard this side of Atlanta, Georgia."
Lifeguard: "All kids out of the pool!!!"
Voiceover Narrator: "But he's about to meet his match."
Lifeguard: "No eating in the pool!"
Voiceover Narrator: "Because the senior citizens wouldn't follow the rules."
Lifeguard: "No peeking, Betty!"
Voiceover Narrator: "And when he woke up the next morning, the lifeguard realized it was the same day."
Lifeguard: "What the... hell? Sunday night?!"
Voiceover Narrator: "Can the lifeguard break free from Sunday night and his repetitive, in-one-ear-and-out-the-other comments to the seniors? Find out in... Adult Swim: The Movie! This film is rated TV14, because a TVMA would have us eaten alive by soccer moms!"

CARDS first. There was never an OLD PEOPLE IN THE POOL C&C thread here.
And if there's enough interest left after the live-action CARDS and OLD PEOPLE IN THE POOL movies, they should make live-action SAFETY CARDS and FRED THE MACINTALK VOICE SPEAKS OVER PSYCHEDELIC MOVING BACKGROUNDS movies.
But not before the sequel to CARDS, VIEWER CARDS, another live-action CARDS movie.

Too much large text kills the original message.
