Soup2Nuts (the creators of Home Movies) is re-doing their website. What type of stuff do you think would be good content that would bring fans to the site?
see the site as it is now at www.soup2nuts.tv (http://www.soup2nuts.tv)

People would REALLY like to download Brendon Small's music from Home Movies. BrendonSmall.com has music from the first two seasons, but people want music from the third and fourth season too.
More outtakes would be nice too.
Maybe more video clips, especially of shows no longer on the air.
A messageboard would really attract people. phpBB2, Ikonboard, or InvisionBoard are good, attractive boards.
It'd be nice to see some of your Flash webshows, because CartoonNetwork.com doesn't really offer them anymore I think.

Good suggestions. Keep them coming.

Good suggestions. Keep them coming.
If Landstander were here right now, he might suggest adding links to fan sites. Like maybe... http://homemovies.toonzone.net/. You know, show the soldiers in the field a little love so to speak.

Perhaps some storyboards or animatics. I recall AdultSwim.com had a couple of inanimate animatics from season 2 of Home Movies. A couple of those would be nice additions, though not necessary.
You'll probably get better suggestions later in the afternoon when people get off work. Not many people on the forums until 3-4 PM ET.

Any improv left over from the sessions and outtakes, with animation.

I'd like to see HM mp3s, more wallpapers, deleted video clips, DVDs, more behind the scenes and more mp3s. :brendon:

Blah, Matt already said most of the stuff I would say. Music (this is the biggest recommendation I would make; the songs at brendonsmall.com were great stuff, and HM has had plenty more music than that), more behind the scenes/outtake stuff (I'd like to see some of the actors doing improv, myself), maybe some new downloads, message board...all good if you ask me. Also, though HM is my obvious favorite, stuff on other productions would be neat, as well (especially Dr. Katz).
Oh, and Tienshin's post wasn't a bad idea, either. ^_^

I know you guys generally work on scripts for shows on your own, but perhaps a script writing contest or a fan interactive script would be cool. By fan interactive I mean having fans vote on which version of certain scenes (before all the ad-lib of course) they prefer. A link to the two AS.com Home Movies games would be cool as well.
Other ideas:
- Character Bios
- Actor bios
- Ask Coach McGuirk advice page

So, in conclusion.
Maybe actual movie reviews by movie guy?
Hey http://www.moviewienerorwinner.com/ has the screen from that episode now!
Pretty much everything that was mentioned, with emphasis on
Outtakes and/or unreleased, edited out segments, etc..
And of course, the dvd (like you don't hear that one every single day)
I'd also love to read technical information regarding your shows, how they are produced and so on. The process of creating the shows.
Thanks for asking.

Some more behind-the-scenes stuff would be great, maybe some interviews with or various rants by Soup2nuts folk.

Outtakes! like to the MAX!
Behind the Scence. I love the one they have now. "Maybe I'll meet some of these actors I've never heard of before!" "Meow? That's funny."
And some more DVD info and MP3s. Like you guys said.
And maybe some more information on the people behind the pixels. AKA, the cast, crew and people like that.

Not just Home Movies DVDs, but Dr. Katz as well.

And at least some mention of what happened with Science Court. Not about Science Court, but what happened to it. Perhaps a "last days of" article.

I think it would be cool to see a list of all the movies Brendon has made on the show throughout the seasons, with maybe like a pic or 2 from each and a summary of what the movie was about. Maybe even a clip of the movie would be cool.
Maybe some all new flash animations done for the internet from older shows. A new scene or two with Dr. Katz and Ben would be great and the talent seems close enough by for it to be feasible. On the topic, downloads of the last unaired in America Dr. Katz episodes would be cool--it could even help revive some interest in that show. It's a long shot but asking can't hurt. Like mentioned already, bios, outtakes, and the history/behind-the-scenes of Soup2Nuts shows is a cool idea.

By the way, when will the new site be on the net?

The suspense was suspensful and the comedy was funny, but Movie Guy says read the book instead- the phone book that is- because it has less character then this movie.

I second sections dedicated to older shows, done back in the Tom Snyder Productions days.
I've always like Squigglevision, and I do, of course I like what's been made post-Squigglevision as well, but it'd be nice to see older shows get some well-deserved attention.
Dr. Katz, especially. If I hadn't become such a fan of that show, I wouldn't have even watched Home Movies when it originally premiered on UPN all those years ago.
And others, too. Science Court, Dick and Paula, and maybe even the animated clip you guys did for the Cosby show.
Oh, yeah, that's DEFINATELY important. Try and get a section for shows and work commissioned by other clients, of course. Like the web series that you guys did starring two African-American women, I think?
That's my biggest piece of advise. Make it as comprehensive when it comes to catalouging the work Soup2Nuts has done past and present as possible.
Just my opinion, though.
